Dominaria United Box Toppers Revealed After WotC Discovers Case of ‘Clarissa Explains It All’ DVDs in Their Warehouse

PORTLAND, Ore – The upcoming Magic: The Gathering expansion set, Dominaria United has reportedly been given a brand new extra as a bonus for buying a box of boosters. Recently a discovery of a case of DVDs of the hit Nickelodeon show “Clarissa Explains It All” in a Wizards of the Coast warehouse prompted the card manufacturer to do the philanthropic thing and spread the wealth to its customers.

“None of us expected to find such a rare and quality product just sitting on a shelf in our warehouse,” Tayler Bruce, Wizards of the Coast logistics manager said. “I thought this was going to be sold at auction so the company could hire some more folks for the warehouse, but when I heard they were just giving these away to paying customers I was blown away. Takes a special breed to pass up keeping or selling something like this. If it were me, I’d be holding onto it and retiring early.”

The decision’s impact has already rippled to local game stores who are acting on the announcement for the upcoming release.

“Doubled our allocation of booster boxes as soon as the news came down. Not only for myself but my staff as well. I already received a few dozen messages on the discord server of people wanting to preorder boxes just to be sure we don’t run out of box toppers. I mean who can blame them. Clarissa Explains It All is from the golden age of television.”

The choice to include this newfound gem also makes sense in logistical terms as well.

“In the past box toppers had a tendency to become damaged since, you know, cardboard. But with a DVD you’re not really going to worry about damage. This is going to save WotC a lot of time and money in the customer service and shipping departments since we won’t need replace as many. Thought I’m sure with something like this the fraudsters are going to come out of the woodwork to try and grab some free copies, not to enjoy mind you, but to resell on the secondary market. I’ve already seen copies up on TCGplayer.com going for over $100 each. That’s almost the price of the box itself!”

Rumors are flying for the release after Dominaria United since someone on r/magicTCG who claims to be an employee of the warehouse where the DVDs were found is claiming an entire vat of slime from Double Dare was also discovered simultaneously.

omg. dry erase cards. Of all the dry erase cards these are the driest. “How dry are they?” As dry as my wife after hearing me talk about how great MTG is. Sahara dry.
