You’re here because you need a deck box for your commander deck and want to know the best of the recently available deck boxes. We’re not going to waste your time with stupid introductions so here’s what you need to know.
Ultra Pro Satin Tower

We could end the entire article here. The Satin Tower is still S-tier in 2022. It’s durable. It’s cheap. It has an extra compartment for dice and tokens. It has a ton of colors to pick from. You should stop reading and buy it. If you’re not immediately sold, please read the following as this is important.
Other deck boxes, despite claiming to fit “100+ cards” may not fit 100 double-sleeved cards. The Satin Tower will. This deck box will fit your deck regardless of how you sleeve it. Peace of mind is worth it. Trust us.

Ultimate Guard Flip N Tray 100+

The only reason this deck box is number two is the price. If the Flip N Tray was cheaper it would be number one on our list. It’s sexier than the Satin Tower, it’s more versatile with removable trays, but it’s also three times the price.
If you’re looking for form over function and don’t mind splurging then stop here and buy this! You literally don’t need to read on.

Ultimate Guard Boulder 100+

The Boulder is simple and compact. If you’re looking to house a 100 card deck (and nothing more) and a small size is important then this is the box for you. Its pure function over form. Of compact deck boxes it is the most durable and reliable.
It’s number three because its about the same price as a Satin Tower meaning you’re getting less for the same price. But if you need something smaller, then go with a Boulder.

Gamegenic Squire 100+ XL Convertible

Remember how we mentioned other deck boxes might not fit 100 cards based on how you sleeve? Gamegenic realized this and created the Squire 100+ XL because they realize people who double-sleeve also need tokens. This box is gorgeous and well made though only comes in the color shown.
It’s more expensive than a Satin Tower / Boulder, but worth it if you have a thicc deck and want something a bit nicer.
